Ubisoft has found itself a winner after announcing record breaking sales. Ubisoft's brand new MMO action-RPG has sold more copies in it's first 24 hours than any game in Ubisoft’s history. It also went on to break the total digital full game sales record.
This is some very optimistic news for a company preparing for potential take over by Vivendi. Ubisoft was banking on a successful launch of the new ISP after announcing it will be stepping away from the annual Assassins Creed release schedule.
This record breaking launch of a brand new IP is very positive news for a company that seemed to rely on a sequels and spinoffs of staple franchises such as Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.It has already been hinted by Ubisoft that The Division will be playing a big role in future the company's future.
